Summary
Singh v. The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital Operating Corp., et al. (Case No. 1:24-cv-00558, U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina) says Cone Health tracked visitors on its website, including the MyChart patient portal, in a way that may have sent sensitive patient information to third parties. Cone Health denies any wrongdoing and the court has made no finding of liability. Cone Health set up a $1,765,000 settlement fund. After court-approved attorneys' fees (up to $613,333.33), administration costs and a $5,000 service award, what is left is split equally among valid claimants.
