Summary
In re: ZF-TRW Airbag Control Units Products Liability Litigation (Case No. 2:19-ml-02905-JAK-JPR, U.S. District Court for the Central District of California) says certain Hyundai and Kia vehicles carry ZF-TRW airbag control units that are vulnerable to electrical overstress, which could keep the airbags and other safety systems from working in a crash. Hyundai and Kia deny wrongdoing and agreed to pay $62.1 million to resolve the case.
